LIttle man was a resuced dog from the local interstate. Friend of a friend found him on the highway and asked us to help take care of him while we looked for his owner. We could tell that he was a pet, collar imprint around his neck, and he was fixed and seemed to know his basic commands.
But he was very very scared and did not take a liking to me, and while trasnsporting him to our home he got scared and reacted.... Six stitches and 4 hours later 'little man' was sleeping on the floor comfortable as can be.
This story does have a happy ending...Little Man (we called him that because we did not know his name) was taken by the county animal control for quarantine and it turned out he had a micro-chip. He as sucessfully reunited with his family!!! And best news for me, they had proof of his shoots and I did not need to get rabies shots :)
